MARIANNA DYDEK WAITE

POET, COUNTRY-CLUBBER & HONKY-TONKER

Native Texan Marianna Dydek Waite’s 38year volunteer heritage includes causes she feels truly make a difference, like dancing to help fund the Center for Child Protection. She understands its work is vital to our community in championing the efforts to protect and help children who are harmed.

Marianna and her husband, Michael K. Waite, owner of Dripping Springs Realty and Watersong Ranches, live in the hill country outside of Dripping Springs and have three daughters. Her volunteer service includes board memberships and service to over 15 local organizations. She is a member of the Spoiled Doves of Texas, Western Reenactment Troop and a graduate of Merlin Works Comedy Improv with Zach Theater. She works part time as a Cosmetic Dental Hygienist for Smiles By Garcia.

By caring for those in difficult situations, she became an adoptive parent of a 12-year-old girl from a children’s home in Russia. With such a challenge, Marianna became a parenting instructor and hosted classes and workshops each week for two years in her home to teach and learn about being the best parent she could be.

Marianna also writes poetry and has compiled over 90 poems each bearing a story, tale, narrative account or anecdote expressing a common sharing and appreciation of life’s mysteries and wonders in moments of insight, struggles and hope.

What really gets Marianna moving is her love of dancing, so she will dance her best to support the Center for Child Protection!
