Liza Edebor is the Owner, Founder, and Lead Instructor at Elite Core, an Athletic Pilates Training studio in Austin. As an expert in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, Liza’s workouts have been featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter, printed in Men’s Health, Muscle & Fitness, and Sports Illustrated along with several other web based and social media articles.

Liza is a champion for remarkable growth. Her enthusiasm towards a vibrant, healthy lifestyle attracts clients from all levels, seeking not only physical wellness but spiritual soul therapy. Her energy is contagious and genuine, her workouts are creative, always challenging and fun; there is never a dull moment.

Elite Core is not your average Pilates studio. Her intense training regimen has helped professional athletes throughout the MLB, NFL, WWE, and NBA, college and high school athletes, pregnant and post-natal moms, and everyone in between the ages of 10-75 level up their game. As a single mom, an emphasis on self-reliance has enabled her to thrive with her son and ridiculously personable golden doodle. This same energy, along with her strong faith in God and His purpose for her life, has helped her studio, Elite Core, to flourish as a self-made, self-funded business.

Liza has a passion for redirecting, resolving, and changing the trajectory of her clients fitness and wellness journeys. She recognizes this same passion in the Center For Child Protection and is honored to be fundraising for an organization committed to helping young victims to take control of their narratives, find their own inner strength, and begin the healing journey.

Kelsey Leigh Hughes is a native Austinite and, having been a performer since childhood, is excited for this opportunity to give back through the Dancing with the Stars competition. Her family instilled the importance of philanthropic efforts starting at a young age and it brings her great joy to continue these efforts through her store’s donations to local charities and by serving on the board of her family’s foundation.

Most days you can find Kelsey at her store, Kelsey Leigh Fine Jewelry & Gifts, located in Kerbey Lane Village, where she shares her love of beautiful things through a highly curated collection of fine jewelry, gifts, tabletop, and home decor. She specializes in custom jewelry design, engagement rings and repurposing heirloom jewelry. Kelsey loves building lasting relationships through this special place and feels blessed to be a part of the most special times in her client’s lives. Kelsey Leigh celebrated its one year anniversary April 1 and has already become one of Austin’s most luxurious shopping experiences. Kelsey is proud to be a young, female, small business owner and has hopes of encouraging other women to turn their passions into a career.

When Kelsey isn’t at the store she enjoys riding her horses (Dev and Dieter), walking her dogs (Maisie and Moose) around town lake, practicing yoga, and spending time with her dear friends and family.

Teresa, AKA “Terry,” has been in Central Texas since 2000, after completing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Before this, she worked as a nursing assistant, then a nurse technician, until she received her B.S in Nursing, and worked as a critical care nurse. In 2013, she became board certified in the subspecialty of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, AKA, urogynecology. She continues to practice urogynecology at the Caring Center for Women in New Braunfels TX.

In January 2020, Dr. Irwin founded “”The Vaginacologist”, an online educational platform. After years of working on female pelvic dysfunctions, she realized many of the issues her patients were experiencing were due to a lack of education. Dr. Irwin provides educational resources to help women understand their anatomy and implement preventative measures. Her most recent venture has been founding Aesthetics of Central Texas in New Braunfels, TX, providing painless laser treatments for multiple skin conditions and rejuvenation, as well as sonic wave therapies for women and men’s sexual health. She is always looking for ways to help her patients get the most out of life!

Dr. Irwin is married to a family physician, Dr. Richard Laue, and has been blessed with three kind and gorgeous sons, the most adorable granddaughter, and an amazing unofficial daughter-in-law. As an exercise enthusiast, Dr. Irwin keeps her body in shape with belly dancing, Salsation fitness, lightweight training, and walking their 4 dogs. She can’t wait to show off her moves for such an important cause!

Jay is one of AQUILA’s vivacious founding partners and an institution in the Austin commercial real estate industry. He is an Austin, Texas-based commercial real estate broker with a Christian heart who’s dedicated to family, faith, philanthropy and spreading wisdom through his self-proclaimed “Yoda-esque and ass-kicking ways” and through his integration of movie quotes into every conversation. He leverages his background in investment banking and venture capital to better serve his clients in the commercial real estate arena. He has been honored numerous times by the Austin Business Journal and others for his outstanding work on some of Austin’s most highly visible transactions.

Jay has a deeply entrepreneurial spirit and in January 2007 broke out of the institutional world with several partners to found AQUILA Commercial. He envisioned a commercial real estate firm where creativity was promoted, hard work rewarded, and silos didn’t exist. Prior to founding AQUILA, Jay played an integral role in growing The Staubach Company’s Austin office. Jay started his career working for CIBC Oppenheimer’s investment banking group in New York City. On Saturdays, you can find Jay cheering on the Rice Owls. On Sunday, you can see him exercise his vocal cords in St. John Neumann’s Catholic Church Choir and during the week at 4.00 anyone can join him to workout with his MMA instructor. Jay has also won several “unsanctioned dance-offs” by incorporating what he refers to as a “satirical” dance style. He looks forward to competing more seriously this time, well – mostly.

Matt is the CEO and founder at Sabre Commercial, a commercial contracting firm in Austin. Since the age of two he has been in Austin, he attended O’Henry, Austin High, and then University of Texas. While he was not born in Austin, he considers himself a true Austinite and lucky to have grown up in the Zilker neighborhood when it was full of hippies.

Matt started in real estate while still in college, getting his real estate license while at UT. After graduating, he went into commercial real estate as broker and working on real estate investments. There was also a time when he owned a bar on 6th street!

Matt is a member of the Explorer’s Club and loves spending time outside, especially on the lake water-skiing and wake-surfing. He also enjoys playing tennis, hunting and fishing. He is also on the board at the Crossroad Scholars Program, a non-profit whose mission is to help young students break the generational cycle of poverty through scholarship and advocacy. He is excited, and a little nervous, to be dancing this year but is thrilled to be giving back to such a great cause.
