WE ARE HERE TO HELP
The Center for Child Protection is here to help young victims of abuse tell their story and begin the healing process.
We provide forensic, medical and therapy services to children during the investigation and intervention process and continuing education to the Austin community to help end the cycle of child abuse.
935 children told their story to a professional last year.
Center therapists are certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics.
Through the power of education, child abuse is preventable.
Every service provided by the Center is free of charge.
If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, please report it. 1.800.252.5400.
If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.
CHANGE A LIFE TODAY
Every day the Center serves approximately five new children who have either been physically abused, sexually abused or have witnessed a violent crime. They arrive at the Center, bravely tell their story to a professional and begin their journey to justice. Without the support of the Travis County community, this opportunity wouldn’t be possible for these young victims.
The saying “it takes a village to raise a child” is true, and as a supporter of the Center, you are a part of our village. Through time, talent or treasures you are able to be the support and voice for those who need it the most. Browse the many ways you can get involved.
THE TEAM
The Center for Child Protection is a part of the Travis County Child Protection Team (CPT). Together with local law enforcement, Department of Family and Protective Services, Travis County District Attorney’s Office and Dell Children’s Medical Center, the CPT works to reduce trauma and bring justice to child victims and their families.
