Child Fatality Review Team

The Travis County Child Fatality Review Team (CFRT) is a multidisciplinary group consisting of law enforcement officials, medical professionals, social workers, prosecutors, and child advocacy professionals working together toward a single goal to prevent the senseless and needless deaths of children in Travis County.

The team examines the circumstances surrounding child deaths in Travis County at regularly scheduled meetings and provides accurate information on how and why children die through the compilation of an annual report.
