Talk Early. Talk Often. Protect Our Kids.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Child abuse prevention starts with open, ongoing conversations. When we talk early and often with our children about body safety, we empower them with the knowledge and confidence to set boundaries, recognize risks, and seek help when they need it most.

By supporting the Center, you’re expanding prevention and education efforts that help our community begin these critical conversations. Together, we’re making Austin a safer city for kids!

 

How to Get Involved:

Individuals

Wear Blue on April 8

Bring awareness to child abuse by wearing blue on Protect Austin Kids™ Day, April 8. Invite your family, friends, and coworkers to do the same! Be sure to to take a photo, post it on social, and tag us @Center4CP.

Show Support on Social Media

Show your support and extend the reach of our awareness efforts by liking, sharing, and commenting on the Center’s social media posts. Follow us @Center4CP.

Host a Drive

Make a direct difference by organizing a donation drive with your family, friends, coworkers, or community. Donations can by monetary or physical items needed in our Kids Closet. To host a drive, email give@centerforchildprotection.org.

Companies

Give-Back Partnership

Donate a portion of your proceeds throughout April or during a special event in support of the Center. Even a small percentage makes a meaningful difference for the children and families we serve.

Create a Blue Menu Item

Feature a blue-themed item (cocktail, dessert, coffee drink, blue corn special, etc.) as a memorable way to spark conversation and raise awareness about child abuse prevention.

Visible Support On-Site

Display the Center’s prevention items, host an information table, or “go blue” with your business lights to amplify awareness. We can provide items like window clings, table tents, flyers, and more.

Awareness Ambassadors are corporate partners who champion child safety efforts in Austin all year long. Your business can join this program and start making a difference by participating in opportunities like these.
