There’s a new movement growing in Austin — one built on hope, healing, and the unwavering belief that, together, we can end child abuse in Travis County. It’s called the Giving Collective.

What is the Giving Collective?

The Giving Collective is a group of dedicated monthly donors who stand with the Center for Child Protection to protect children and prevent child abuse in our community. Each contribution provides consistent support for children affected by abuse and funds education efforts to stop abuse before it begins.

The Motto

The Giving Collective community is guided by a powerful purpose:

The Work

At the Center for Child Protection, we support children and their families throughout the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases by offering comprehensive, trauma-informed services at no-cost.

  • Forensic Interviews, so children only have to tell their story once.
  • Medical Exams, to assess, treat, and document injuries.
  • Therapy Sessions, to help children rebuild trust and heal from trauma.
  • Crisis Counseling, to support the needs of the entire family.

Each service is a step on the path to healing, and the Giving Collective makes that possible. The Giving Collective also supports the Center’s education efforts — because education and awareness are key to preventing child abuse.

Our free education programs include parent and youth safety workshops, corporate presentations, in-depth trainings for educators, child care providers, and other professionals, and a Monthly Webinar Series on topics like How to Talk to Kids About Body Safety and Raising Kids in a Digital World.

By educating the community on how to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse, every day the Center takes one step closer to ending child abuse in Travis County.

The Values

The Giving Collective is more than a monthly donation — it’s real people fighting together for what matters. Members are united by the shared responsibility to:

  • Create a community that shows up for kids.
  • Support kids and families healing from trauma.
  • Inspire hope for a child-abuse-free future.
  • Empower others to step up and take action.

The Commitment

The Giving Collective is accessible and inclusive, offering everyone the ability to make a difference, no matter their economic level. Members give what they can — $5, $15, $25 a month — and have the flexibility to increase, decrease, or cancel their contributions at any time.

It’s not about what each person can do alone; it’s about what we can do together. Every dollar matters, and every member strengthens our collective impact.

A Launch Party with a Purpose

On Thursday, September 25, we officially kicked off the Giving Collective with an unforgettable Launch Party at Austin Beerworks – Sprinkle Valley.

It was more than just a social gathering; it was a powerful reminder of what community can do when it comes together. Guests enjoyed food, drinks, swag, and an inspiring message from our team about the daily work being done at the Center.

The result? A 33% increase in Giving Collective members — in just one night! That means more support for more children.

Be Part of Something Bigger

When you join the Giving Collective, you’re not just donating — you’re stepping up and creating real change for kids in Travis County. As a member, you’re committing to show up, month after month, to make our community a safe place for children.

Change starts with each of us. But impact grows with all of us.

Every dollar makes a difference for kids in our community.
