Travis

*Travis’s life was shattered when he witnessed the homicide of his stepfather, the family’s father figure and primary provider. Mourning their loss and facing financial uncertainty, his mother made the brave decision to move her family away from the home filled with painful memories.

With help from the Center’s Emergency Fund, their first month’s rent was covered, giving them a fresh start. This support allowed Travis’s mother to return to work while he continues therapy at the Center, finding safety and healing.

Cody

*Cody endured the trauma of abuse at the hands of his parent’s roommate. Seeking safety and the comfort of family, he and his mother decided to move to his aunt’s home in another state. But affording plane tickets and transportation to the airport seemed impossible – until the Center stepped in.

Through our Emergency Fund, and with the support of a dedicated family advocate, we covered the cost of their flights and transportation. This critical assistance helped Cody and his mother leave their distress behind and begin a new chapter.
