Kids Closet

Be Well Bags are specifically designed for clients who have had a suicide risk assessment and are struggling emotionally. These bags include items like stress balls, fidgets, coloring books, crayons, journals, essential oil lotions, and more.

Kids who come to the Center during their birthday month are sent home with a Birthday Box. Birthday Boxes are wrapped in fun, beautiful paper and filled with everything a kid needs to have a birthday party, including cake mix, candles, frosting, decorations, party favors, invitations, tablecloths, and more.

Black Hair Care Kits are given to children who have specific hair care needs. The items in these kits are uniquely tailored to the protection and maintenance of black hair. This includes combs, durags, bonnets, creams, gels, and oils.

Essential Kit are given to families that are displaced from their homes and are in need of emergency materials. These kits include essential clothing items like t-shirts, shorts, sweatsuits, socks, and underwear. We are also able to customize essential kits to fit any child’s specific needs.

Hygiene Kits are given to families in need of sanitary items and help promote the health and wellness of our clients. These kits include hair care products, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, loofahs, bonnets, and more.

In order to remain flexible and provide our families with resources to fit their shifting needs, we adjust our Kids Closet Wishlist depending upon the Center’s top priority items. This list may include things like jackets, gloves, backpacks, and more.

After visiting the Center for the first time, children are given a brand new teddy bear or stuffed animal to help provide comfort and a sense of safety. The stuffed animal also represents a new beginning for our clients and reminds them that they aren’t alone

Therapy Pack items are selected based on treatment goals developed by clinicians and tailored to each child. Items are purposefully chosen to meet a child’s unique needs and support the healing process at home. Therapy Packs include items like yoga balls, weighted blankets, puzzles, scented stuffed animals, and more.
